Tag, Jeter Your It

8 Things About Jeter

1) He traveled across the country at 3 weeks old! We had to move to Cleveland right after we had him. I was so scared, but he was the best baby ever.

2) He's always moving, ever since he was born. I've heard people say he is the wiggliest little baby they've ever seen. Even when he eats from a bottle, he's still constantly moving. He puts his hands over his eyes and intertwines his fingers and feels each one, then feels two at a time, then three, etc., the entire time he's eating. It's so cute.

3) He's scared of......vacuums! Each time I start the vacuum, he freaks out and starts shaking and crying and won't stop staring at it. I have to go and get him and calm him down and then once he's calmed down, i have to vacuum while holding him. It's harder than it sounds.

4) He is very observant and aware of his surroundings. He is always checking EVERYTHING out. At his last doctor's appointment, the doc said to me, "He's very nosy, isn't he?" She was trying to get him to look at the little flashlight thing. But he was too busy checkin out all of the other tools and stuff behind her. She stood in front of him to block the table of tools, and he practically leaned off the bed to look around her to see all the stuff behind her.

5) Coming from two of the not so tallest parents in the world, Jete was in the 90th percentile for his height at his last check-up.

6) He loves to snuggle up to his mom and dad in their bed and read scriptures and say prayers with them before he goes to bed each night. I mean it, he really does. He cries in his bed until we get him out and bring him in with us. After we've read and said prayers, he goes right back into his own bed and falls asleep like a champ.

7) He is one of the tickliest kids I've ever seen. His whole body is so ticklish. He starts laughing before we even put a finger on him because he knows what's coming. He is such a happy baby and is so fun to play with.

8) Lots of people have never heard of his name before. We got the name Jeter from Derek Jeter, an amazing short stop for the New York Yankees. We didn't name him after Derek Jeter though, just kinda used his name. Had is not a fan of the Yanks. I am though! Wahaha. Here's Jete in his little Jeter uniform, and Derek Jeter, for those of you who don't know who he is. I'd say both Jeter's....pretty dang cute!

For the Love of the Game

Have any of you ever loved something so much, even if it causes you pain? I'm sure most of you are thinking of people in your life.... past boyfriends, spouses, siblings, etc. Well, don't get me wrong, i have felt that from people in my life too, but I'm talking about actual physical pain. Some people might question why i like it so much especially if it is hurting me. As i thought about it, there is really only one explanation....it's for the love of the game! I love this game!!! I never want to stop. I can't get enough of it. I want to be playing every spare minute. Even if it does cause me pain, I love it so much. These pictures might gross some people out, so if your one of those people that think feet are disgusting, you better not look. But this is what happens to me when i play basketball, and i would keep playing, even if it did this to all of my toes.

Both of my pinky toes started hurting like crazy as i was playing. When i took off my shoes, they both looked like this.

You can't really see them very well in this picture, but i get massive, thick calluses right below my big toes on that bone that sticks out.

......And a couple weeks later, both of my pinky toe nails fell off.

His First Tooth/Teeth!

I'm just a tad slow on posting, but eventually I get around to it....my baby has two teeth! He got his first tooth about a month ago, so he was 6 months and 4 days old. Then, two days later, another one popped through. He is growing up way too fast! I tried to get a picture of them and he didn't really like me prying his mouth open, but I think i managed to get a picture where you can kind of see them. He thinks because he has a couple of teeth he can eat anything that we eat. He tries to eat everything in sight. I think some of his favorites right now are salt and vinegar chips, apples, and prunes. He cries when i take the chips or the apples away....as for the prunes, he just has to eat them every day for other reasons, so he better like them!

Tagged...All About Him!

What is his name? Hadley Jay
How long have you been married? May 1st will be 4 years!
How long did you date? We were friends in high school and hung out before his mission, but after his mission we dated for 3 1/2 months, then were engaged for 4 1/2 more months.
How old is he? 26
How old are you? 26
Who eats more sweets? I do. At the first of our marriage it was probably him. I never really cared for candy and sweets. But now it's me for sure. I LOVE all sorts of homemade treats, and now that I'm home all day, I can make them whenever I want. In fact, I have dreams about desserts all the time, it's getting pretty ridiculous.
Who said I love you first? Had did. I'm too scaredy when it comes to that kind of stuff.
Who is taller? Had is, he's 5'8 and I'm 5'3.
Who can sing better? Neither of us are real great, but probs me.
Who is smarter? Had is in just about everything but English. He was raised on a farm if that tells ya anything. I try and teach him how things are supposed to be said, or that those two words can't go together, and sometimes I think "he aint never gonna get it."
Who does the laundry? I usually do. He thinks he does it if he puts the clothes in the washer and dryer. He forgets about the whole folding and putting it away, which is the worst part!
Who does the dishes? Mainly me, he helps out if I ask him to.
Who pays the bills? He thinks he does i guess. Funny story... I left this up on the computer screen because I wasn't finished with it, and i just noticed that this answer was changed to "He does". So i'm changing it back to we both do. He gets the mail and opens it, and leaves all the envelopes out all over the counter, so that I will see it, and pay it, and take it to the mailbox. Sometimes he puts them in the envelopes for me. However, he does keep track of our money better than i do. I'll give him that.
His guilty pleasure? Sports, Snow machining, Motorcycles, being with me and Jete, and he hasn't got to enjoy it yet, but he would like it to be golf, he just got new clubs right before Winter.
Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? I do, it's closer to the door so I can go get Jeter in the night. Either Had really doesn't wake up, or he just pretends that he doesn't. I think we all know what it really is.
Who mows the lawn? Neither of us, we've never had our own yard since we've been married, but if we did, it would probably be me, so I can go out and get a tan ha ha ok, a sunburn.
Besides you, who is his best friend? Probably his mom.
Who cooks dinner? I do usually, but he helps me a lot. He is a good cook, and loves to make up new concoctions.
Who drives? Had drives pretty much all the time. He thinks he can drive ALL the time, even when we drive long distances, because he drove truck. Also, he's afraid when i drive, even though i'm not even that scary of a driver.
Who is more stubborn? I say Had is, but he says that i'm way worse than him. I don't believe it.
Who kissed who first? Had kissed me first, once again, i'm scaredy on those kinds of things. It was after one of those romantic rides in the tractor, during spud harvest. Can't get much better than that in Idaho! :)
Who asked who out first? Had asked me out first, the day after he got home from his mish.

What was your first date? The day after he got back from his mission, he invited me to go to I.F. with him shopping. Turns out it was a date with him, his mom, his aunt, cousins, and little sister. Good times. Plus, I was sick with strep throat, but couldn't tell him no. I didn't want him to think that i didn't want to go with him. If you can imagine, it was miserable, for both of us!

Who proposed? He did. It was a snowy wintry day, and he made this incredible candle light dinner, cleaned the house, had Christmas music playing in the background, and i still had no clue it was coming. Even when he was holding out the ring, asking me if i would marry him, i still didn't realize he was proposing. I thought he was just asking me, like as in we were just talking about it. He had to basically shove the ring in my hand. I'm a little bit slow.

Who has more siblings? I do, 7 sisters and 2 brothers. He has 2 brothers, 1 sister, 2 step-brothers, a half sister and a half brother, totalling 7 siblings. It's hard for anyone to beat the Fullers, even if you get to include steps and halfs.
Who wears the pants? It depends on the situation, but I think mostly Had.

What is your favorite thing about him? He's like desserts to me, there are so many good ones... it's hard to say a favorite. So I'll just say some of the things that I LOVE about him. I love how he is such a hard worker, and whatever he does, he's going to try to be the best at it. I love how he will help anyone at anytime. I love that he's athletic and loves sports. We get to have so much fun playing sports together, and watching each other play. He is an amazing husband and father. I love to watch him play with Jeter, or listen to him read stories to him at night, or the look on his face when we get Jeter all ready for church, and he looks so proud to be his Dad. He makes me laugh, and makes me want to be a better person. I feel so lucky to have him in my life.
I tag Kerr, Lacey, and Janie
