At The Park

Here are some pics of one of our outings to the park. Jete loves it, as you can see by the perma-smile he had on the whole time we were there.

This place has little walkways all over like this to connect all the slides and toys. He thought it was so fun to crawl away from me. I had to sneak up in front of him to get a picture.

He got so excited to get back into the swings, after playing on the toys, he just kept clapping.

Opening Day

Our swimming pool finally opened! It was supposed to open on Memorial Day, but they didn't have it ready in time. We've been not so patiently waiting, since the weather here was so good around that time. Last week they finally opened it, only to have it rain the whole next week. Oh well i guess that's how it goes. The weather was good though the day it opened. The water was freezing cuz they barely filled the pool the day before, and Jete wasn't so sure about it, but now that the water's warmed up, he loves the pool. His favorite thing is for us to lay him on our hands, so that he's floating on his stomach, and he stretches his arms out and points to wherever he wants to go in the pool.

This was ice cold water. Had said we have to jump in. I told him ok, and that he could jump first so i could take the picture (fully intending on not ever really jumping), and then I got up some guts and actually jumped in, but we don't have any proof. Just know, i did it, and I'm not a wuss.

Flag Football CHAMPS

Who knew my flag football career wouldn't be over after i left the wonderful BYU-I? YEAH!!! Had's school put on a flag football tournament Saturday for a fundraiser, and i made sure Had signed us up. I was so excited to play again, i think i woke up about every hour the night before to make sure we hadn't slept in and missed our first game. We played 4 games, won our first 3 pretty easily, then we barely pulled out the W in the championship game, 13-12. It was so much fun. I love football!

Jeter was such a good boy through the whole tournament. He just played and watched and clapped for us. He got a little tired though a couple hours after his normal naptime and he finally zonked out during one game.

How long can you survive?

I've always been a little worried that something could happen, where we will have to use our food storage. At home, i wasn't as worried, cuz both of our parents lived there too, and they have food storage. But living away from home and in a little apartment, I think about it more and more. I know that we're far off from what we should have, but i was pretty impressed that we could survive for this long. Living in an apartment, you don't get too much storage space. I can't wait for the day when i can have a 2 year supply, and a place for it! Hopefully nothing seriously happens before that day, cuz maybe 122 days won't cut it.

During Had's break...

Had started school up again last week, for the summer semester. He had a week and a half off. It was so much fun to have him home with us all day. We went to parks, played softball, tennis, catch, frisbee golf, went on walks, watched a lot of Lakers, cooked big breakfasts, and took naps together. It was great! Jete loved to have him home too. He loves all the attention from both of us, and thinks that we should just be playing with him every second. If we are talking to each other, he crawls over to us and pulls himself up on our legs so that he can join in the conversation. He's getting funnier and funnier by the day. He fake laughs now, thanks to Had. (Had used to love to make his little sister Maycee fake laugh, now he's carryin it on to Jete.) Jete is getting so loud now, he loves to talk, and loves to talk loudly! He's constantly saying stuff, and it's so funny to listen to and watch. He gives all sorts of face expressions when he does it. I love him and Had so much, they make me happy every day! Here's a few pics I took over the break.(We didn't have very good weather the whole break, hence the snow hat.)

Finals are done, and family came to visit us!!!

The last couple weeks have been so much fun!!! Hadley had 3 weeks of finals, and took his last one on the 15th. So he completed his first year of podiatry school, yay! (He did amazing too, i might add. I'm so proud of him.) My sister Angie, and her husband Josh and 3 of their kids came out to visit that same day. We have been playin like crazy ever since. They got to stay for about 5 days, and it was so much fun to have them here. We wished they could have stayed longer. It went by way too fast. We didn't take very many pictures while they were here, cuz we were constantly going or playing, but i managed to get a few. We went to Cedar Point with them, and rode the rides till basically all of us were sick. Poor Josh was sick from the start, so it couldn't have been very fun for him, but all the rest of us had a good time. Dax and Toj are twins, and they wanted to go on every ride. They were sad when we told them we were going to leave. They kept saying, c'mon, just one more ride, plleeaaase! And poor little Javin, he is 4 years old, and was too short to ride most of the rides that we rode. We snuck him on one ride though (actually they just never checked), and he was so excited he got to ride with us. When the worker came around to see if we were strapped in, he sat up real tall "so they would think he was bigga," as he explains it.

These guys are hilarious, they saw Snoopy and took off and just climbed on up, perfectly posing for pictures. We didn't even have our cameras out, but they looked so cute, we had to hurry and bust out the cameras. They were tons of fun to have around, and I'm so glad that they got to come with their parents. We missed their little baby Magnum, but at least we get to see him in July!



Here's Josh and Had. They were too pooped, and had to take a little nap as Ang took her kids on some of the little tike rides in Planet Snoopy.

We also got to go to Kirtland with them. We had a little picnic there, then took a tour with a longwinded missionary, then headed over to the John Johnson farm. This is where Joseph Smith was ripped out of his bed and then tarred and feathered. The day after he was tarred and feathered, he came back and preached from this front step. This is one of the places that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith. It was amazing to be standing in the same room as they were, feeling the Spirit so strongly. So cool!

We had so much fun going everywhere with them, playing games until we forced ourselves to go to bed, laughing, eating, and just hanging out with them. Thanks for coming guys, and thanks again for everything. We love ya!!!

4 Year Anniversary

I can't believe it's been 4 years already, and yet i can barely remember what my life was like before Hadley was a part of it. We've been friends since we were freshmen in high school, and ever since then, he has always been in my life. We started hanging out a little after high school but mainly just played a lot of basketball together, then we started actually dating after his mission. We had only been dating for 2 weeks, and already people were predicting that we would get married. We love spending time together, and have so much in common. I can definately say that he is my best friend! In the past 4 years, we have moved 4 times, had 2 miscarriages, finally have a child to hold, visited each of my siblings houses that live throughout the country, swam with dolphins, won a coed basketball league, played coed softball together for 3 summers, drove across the country, been to too many basketball games to count, laughed a ton, argued a little, played like crazy, worked hard (mainly Had did the hard work, I just worked), got a bachelor's degree, survived most of the 1st year of podiatry school, played a ton of sports, traveled all over the country by plane, car, and truck, have learned so much from each other and others, and I can't wait to create so many more memories with this amazing person.
