There are lots of reasons we love and celebrate the 4th of July. We love our country, our freedom, and all the people that were/are fighting for it. I can't help but smile on this day. It's also a fun day to celebrate with all the fun things going on, especially when you have a kid. Jete makes this day a thousand times more fun for us. Here are some of the ways we celebrated the 4th this year.
A Big Parade (haha)
Jete love, love, loved the parade. He was so excited he never calmed down (except to eat a few pieces of candy). He's just jumpin up and down he's so excited to watch everything and get more candy.
Jeter was not shy when it came to running out in the road to grab candy. Yes that would be our kid out in the middle of the street, closest to the banner.
Here's a couple of his friends that he watched the parade with.
Good Food and Friends
Donuts and loads of candy, what more could a kid want?
Some of the Idaho peeps hangin out before the firework show.
Lots of Fireworks
We went to a firework show on the 3rd and 4th. Jete loved it so much!!! When we put him in the car after the fireworks were over the first night, he started crying. We asked him what was wrong and he said, "more fireworks."
Showin off his muscles
We let him do sparklers while we waited for the fireworks to start. He was obsessed with them. When we stopped lighting them for him, he made some new friends that had sparklers and decided to hang out with them instead of us.
He was so excited to see the fireworks for the second night. He had been talking about the them all day. Once they started, he was so funny. Every time there was a big one or lots at a time, he would start yelling and saying "OH MAAAN!!! BIG FIREWORK!" or "Ohhh NOOO!" (as in oh no, did you just see that?)
