Lovin Life in Rexburg

Jeter had so many people to play with him, tons of grandparents, cousins, and aunts and uncles... he was lovin life. His new thing is to be the center of attention, and starts fake crying if people aren't playing with him. Ashton (Had's little brother), and Maycee (Had's little sister), loved to play with him and make him laugh like crazy.

Had was also lovin life. He got to go snow machining. One night, he took some of my family for little sleigh rides around the yard. My little Nephew Aiden wanted to ride "the fastest snowmachine there was" so Had gladly took him out for a ride through the fields. They both loved it! Had was really excited to take Jete out for his first ride, but the little munchkin started getting sick, so he didn't get to go out.

Ho Ho Ho

The Cutest
Santa Of
All!!!
Lots of Christmas parties, lots of families, lots of love, lots to eat, lots to do.....
we still managed to see Santa....more than once!

Christmas just wouldn't be the same if the kids didn't get to sit on Santa's lap, even if they don't know what the heck is goin on. Jete was a good sport though and sat there without crying while we all took pictures. I think that this first Santa thought that since he had a real beard, he didn't need to smile or act like the jolly old man he is supposed to be. This was the closest thing that we got to a smile from him in any of my pictures. The rest of them kind of looked evil.

Like I was saying....it wouldn't be Christmas if "the kids" didn't get to sit on Santa's lap. Hadley has to jump up there every year, with all the little kids. Even though Santa could handle Jeter himself, Had went up there...just to make sure.

Pablem

When I was little, I remember this baby oatmeal stuff always being in our cupboard.  We called it pablem.  I don't know where that name came from, but we loved it.  I think all my siblings did.  We would ask for it.  So when the time came for us to give it to Jeter for the first time, I was pretty excited.  I thought he was just gonna gobble this stuff up!  Not so much.  For one, I don't think he knew what to do with it when it was in his mouth, and for two, it might not have tasted as good as I remember.  It was pretty funny to watch his face expressions as Had gave it to him.  His face made it seem like it was the nastiest thing in the world, but he kept opening up for it, as if he was only doing it to be obedient.  I guess it's only good if you put a big old pile of sugar in it like we used to.

I think more of it ended up on his face and bib than in his tummy, but it was still fun to introduce him to the one and only, pablem.

Photo Shoot

I never want to forget this stage of life, where they are so tiny, cute, and loveable.  I love watching his every move, every smile, every face expression.  I even love to watch him sleep.
Hence, the photoshoot.

I love when he grabs my finger, and holds on to it so tight.  I love when he sleeps with his little bummy stickin up in the air.  And I love to watch him bring his little fingers up to his mouth and suck on them like they are food.  (I won't, however, let him do it for very long, and NEVER let him suck his thumb.)

What a turkey!

Thanksgiving in Maryland

For Thanksgiving, Had, Jete, and I went to my sister's house (Holly) in Maryland. Their sweet little family hosted us and another one of my sister's (Erin) that flew out from Utah. It was so much fun!  Thursday morning, we woke up and went to a park nearby for their community turkey trot.  Holl and Jeff's kids ran in a little mini race, then Jeff, Had, me and Holl (6 months preg) all ran a 5K, while Ern watched all the kids and cheered us on.

We came back and got the dinner all ready, and had quite the feast!!!  Everything was so good!

Jeter even got to sit up to the table and eat mashed potatoes with us (his first time with real people food)!  He thought he was so big sitting up to the table with us.  He kept looking at us like he was so proud.

We played lots of games and laughed like crazy this weekend.  We also went Christmas tree hunting with Holl and Jeff to help them find their tree.  It was a little too cold and windy though, so we didn't last very long.  Me and Jete ended up playing in the car while we waited for them.

It was a great Thanksgiving Dinner and weekend. Thanks again Holl and Jeff!

Out and About

We've been taking Jeter out and about.  I was kinda scared to at first, but he is always such a good boy!  It hasn't been hard at all.

Gettin ready to head to the mall.

Quick feeding break!

This was right after one of my basketball games.  He is always so good, and just watches us run up and down the court.  Hopefully this is a good sign of things to come!

The Little Hot Dog

Jete's Grandma sent him these cute little Halloween pajamas! As you can see, he loves to stand up. If he's laying down he's constantly trying to sit up. It's so cute, it looks like he's always doing crunches. He's gonna have a six-pack by Christmas if he keeps it up.

Here's our little hot dog. He was so cute in his little costume, and was smiling like crazy, but sadly our camera was dying Halloween night. We went to a party and our friends' kids were all dressed in their costumes. So cute. Everyone was so cute, and we couldn't get any pictures of them. I was sad, cuz i love to see all the cute little costumes. I missed seeing all my neices and nephews costumes and Had's little brother and sister's too!

Jeter's Room

I couldn't wait to get to Ohio and give Jeter an actual baby's room, that was all his.  After a lot of convincing, Had let me paint a couple walls in his room.  I ordered the cute wall banner with his bedding.  And I'm so happy how it all turned out when it was done.  I feel like it is the only room in our little apartment that is actually finished, and ours.  I love being in there, and spending time in there with my little Jeter boy.  And since I'm nursing, trust me, I spend a lot of time in there!

From the doorway looking in, there's a little hallway into his room.
(There are pictures of him hung on that blue wall now.)

Looking back down the hallway

The cute bay windows in his room.
(Ignore the stuff on his dresser, that's not how it is normally decorated.)

His bedding, and the cheap little wall art that I made to go with it all.

Can't Get Enough!

We can't get enough of this boy!  His cheeks are the softest, squishiest, kissable little things ever.  I love to dress him up, and I love to strip him down.  He has stolen our hearts!

He was my model for a hat we bought for his brand new little cousin, Saylor.  I don't think he likes wearing girly things.

Sitting up with support!  YAY!!!

Our handsome little boy, all ready for church

September Tidbits

We're close to a beach! Yeah, yeah........ it's not a great beach.  It's the beach to Lake Erie.  And because it's not saltwater, the contamination levels are sometimes so high that you're not actually suppose to go in the  water.  But that doesn't stop us.  (We're from Idaho, we've swam in nasty canals, accidentally swallowed some of the water, and didn't die from it, or even get sick.)  A beach is a beach.  We love them all!

We did, however, keep the little punky out of the water, because of the contamination level.

He is so cute I can't stop kissing those little cheeks!

Had decided to let him try his first popsicle, 2 months old.

He is getting to be so much fun, and is such a happy baby.  We love him to pieces and get enough of his sweet little smile.

Laughing like crazy!

Had finally cut off all his long hair! There was tons of it!

Me and Jete took a quick little trip to Maryland to see my sister Holly and her fam.  We flew.  I was super nervous to fly by myself with him, but he was really good.  The flight was short and sweet.  The only bad thing was that when I got off the plane I put Jeter in the little Baby Bjorn thing that straps him in front of me, on my chest.  Well apparently he pooped while he was in there.  It had no place to go, but out the little leg holes, and it covered my legs and shoes, all of which I wasn't aware of while walking through the whole airport until I see my sister at the cars.  That wasn't real fun.  My parents also flew out there for that week/weekend so it was a good little visit, and this was the only picture taken with my camera the whole time.  :(  Woops.  This was when we went and toured an Amish home.

My sweet and talented aunt, Michelle, made Jeter these cute little Jeter baseball shoes.  How freaking cute are they?  I love them!!!
