Birthday Boy!

Jete turned 2 last week!!! Whenever i asked him what he wanted for his birthday, he kept saying "um.... potty (party), boons (balloons), cake, chockit (chocolate) cake." I figured i could at least do that much for the kid. He was super excited when we brought home balloons for him. He is normallly the best sleeper ever, goes to bed without making a peep, and sometimes even asks for his bed. But he was so excited to have the balloons to play with, he cried and cried for his balloons when i layed him down for a nap. It took him over an hour and a half of being in his crib that he finally fell asleep. After his nap, we had a little birthday party at a park for him with some of his friends and he loved it. My camera is having some issues so i asked my friend if she could take some pictures. They are so cute i couldn't decide which ones to put on here, so here's a bunch. Thanks again Randee! (If you want to see more pics of the party and the kids having fun, go to her blog [Beegh and Randee] on my sidebar.)

Yay for me, I already figured out how to make a two year old happy....

Slides

Swings

Bubbles

Toys that are loud :)

I know what a lot of you are thinking but no, we aren't forcing him to like basketball. I showed him pictures of all sorts of cakes and he wanted a basketball cake. So this is my attempt at a basketball cake and i know it's not great, but he was able to tell that it was a hoop and a basketball, so....mission accomplished. He was so excited about his cake that he got into the fridge himself, and took a big swipe at it with all 5 fingers before we took it to the party. Yeah, lovely.

Happy Birthday little Jeter boy! We love you so much and love doing things for you to make you happy. We feel so lucky to have you in our family.

When Daddy is in charge

Had was supposed to be watching Jete for a little bit while I got a few things done. When I got done and came in the room, this is how I found Jete. I started laughing and asked Had why he was taped up, and Had said, "Man he's driving me crazy! He won't leave any of my stuff alone. So I asked him if I could tape him up and he said ya."

He only liked it for about 10 seconds.

Lovin the 4th

There are lots of reasons we love and celebrate the 4th of July. We love our country, our freedom, and all the people that were/are fighting for it. I can't help but smile on this day. It's also a fun day to celebrate with all the fun things going on, especially when you have a kid. Jete makes this day a thousand times more fun for us. Here are some of the ways we celebrated the 4th this year.

A Big Parade
(haha)
Jete love, love, loved the parade. He was so excited he never calmed down (except to eat a few pieces of candy). He's just jumpin up and down he's so excited to watch everything and get more candy.

Jeter was not shy when it came to running out in the road to grab candy. Yes that would be our kid out in the middle of the street, closest to the banner.

Here's a couple of his friends that he watched the parade with.

Good Food and Friends

Donuts and loads of candy, what more could a kid want?

Some of the Idaho peeps hangin out before the firework show.

Lots of Fireworks

We went to a firework show on the 3rd and 4th. Jete loved it so much!!! When we put him in the car after the fireworks were over the first night, he started crying. We asked him what was wrong and he said, "more fireworks."

Showin off his muscles

We let him do sparklers while we waited for the fireworks to start. He was obsessed with them. When we stopped lighting them for him, he made some new friends that had sparklers and decided to hang out with them instead of us.

He was so excited to see the fireworks for the second night. He had been talking about the them all day. Once they started, he was so funny. Every time there was a big one or lots at a time, he would start yelling and saying "OH MAAAN!!! BIG FIREWORK!" or "Ohhh NOOO!" (as in oh no, did you just see that?)
